Get an even thickness of sugarpaste and cookie dough using these Pastry Rulers by Autumn Carpenter.
The rulers are great for getting both even thicknesses and measuring any type of decorating medium, making them great for special occasions such as weddings and anniversaries or even corporate events where you require a pristine, flawless finish
The rulers come in 3 thicknesses: 2mm, 5mm and 7mm that allow you to get the perfect thickness of sugarpaste, chocolate, gumpaste, cookie/Pastry dough or whatever other decorating medium you wish to roll.
The rulers are incredibly simple to use. For cookies, lay some parchment paper on a silicone mat or work surface and set the rulers a short distance apart. Use the 5mm rulers, or 7mm for thicker cookies, place your dough between the Pastry Rulers and roll over the dough and Pastry Rulers together until your dough is the right thickness.
Similarly for fondant and gumpaste, sprinkle some cornflour or powdered sugar onto a work surface, set your Pastry Rulers (2mm recommended) apart and roll over them and your fondant until it is all the correct thickness.
For Chocolate, Lay a sheet of parchment paper, a silicone mat, or a chocolate transfer sheet on the work surface. Put the 2 mm rulers on each side of the paper (or silicone mat or transfer sheet). Pour melted chocolate onto the paper. Drag one 5 mm or 7 mm ruler over the 2 mm rulers to evenly spread the melted chocolate.
The rulers also come with cm and inches measurement to ensure you get the lengths right as well as the thickness.
